PresetWing. Theatre prop preset and reset checklists.

Write to support@codedrealities.com and a person will read it. Telling us the iPhone model, the iOS version and what you were doing at the time makes a real difference.

Setting up a show

How should I organise the areas?
However you actually work. Areas are just names you choose, kept in the order you put them in, so most people list them in the order they walk the wings. There is no fixed taxonomy to fit into.
Can I add several props at once?
Yes. Paste a list with one prop per line. Blank lines are skipped, and you see the number of props that were read before anything is saved.
Two props have the same name. Is that a problem?
No. Identical labels stay separate props with their own quantities, notes and checks.
Can I try it without typing a whole show in?
Yes. There is an explicit option to load a small example show. Nothing is added to your data unless you ask for it.

Running a performance

What does starting a performance actually do?
It copies the show as it stands right now: the areas, the props, the quantities and both notes. That copy belongs to that performance and stays as it was.
I edited the show sheet mid-run. Did I break the record?
No. Editing, reordering or deleting on the show sheet does not reach into a performance that has already started, or into a finished one.
Can I have two performances open?
Finish the open performance before starting another. One is open at a time, so there is never a question about which list you are working.
The app closed during the interval.
Status changes are saved immediately. Tap Done to save an issue note. Reopening restores your saved performance, phase and filter.
I checked something by mistake.
Tap it and set it back. Any status can be corrected while the performance is open, in either phase.
What does "needs attention" mean?
Whatever you need it to mean: missing, broken, wrong one, borrowed and not back. Add a note with the detail. Flagged items stay visible, including when the remaining filter is on.
Do preset checks carry over to reset?
Never. The two phases hold separate states, and switching between them copies nothing.
Can I finish with things still outstanding?
Yes, and it will tell you what is outstanding before you confirm. The record keeps the counts it really had. A performance with unresolved items is not recorded as complete.

After a performance

Where do finished performances go?
Into the history, with the date, the label, the show and the counts for both phases. Open one to read every status and note as it was left. History is read-only, so a past record cannot be edited into something it was not.
I deleted a show. Did its performances go too?
No. Deleting a show keeps its finished performances, and the app says so before you confirm.
How do I hand over on paper?
Export a PDF: either a blank show checklist with both columns to work from, or a performance with the statuses and notes it holds. Choose A4 or US Letter, then use the iPhone share sheet to send it wherever you want it.
Will long notes be cut off in the PDF?
No. Pages repeat their headings, rows are not clipped, and long labels and notes are printed in full. Anything that needs the room goes on a notes page with the row it belongs to.

Data, backups and sharing

Does it work with no signal?
Yes. Creating shows, running performances and exporting a PDF all work in airplane mode. There is no account and no sign-in.
Where is my data?
On your device. The app does not upload it to us and there is no analytics in it. Device backups may include it, and a PDF you export goes to the destination you pick. See the privacy page.
Can I move a show to another phone?
Not in this version. There is no import or backup file format yet. A restored device backup brings your data with it.
Is my data used to train anything?
No. We never receive it, so there is nothing of yours for us to use.

Purchase

What does it cost?
2.99 US dollars, one purchase. Prices in other regions come from Apple's regional price tiers and vary. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no advertising.
Is anything held back for a paid upgrade?
No. Every show, performance record and PDF export is included.
I want a refund.
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: Apple's refund request page.

Requirements

What do I need?
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Portrait and landscape, with Dynamic Type including the larger accessibility sizes.
Is there an iPad or Mac version?
Not in this version. It is built for the phone in your pocket during a show.

Scope

PresetWing records the checks you enter; it does not verify physical props. It is a text checklist for one operator: no cue calling, no timers or notifications, no crew sync and no cloud service.
